Exciting Announcement!

I can't believe that I've finally reached the point where I can let everyone know my exciting news! 

I'm finally launching my photography business.  After taking photos as a hobbiest for friends and family (and myself), I'm ready to take the plunge. 

Unfortunately, that will mean this blog is going to become even more neglected, but until I get my new website and blog up and running, here's a taste of some of the photos I've taken recently.  Also note, these will be the last photos to be posted without my watermark, which is soon to arrive!

Time flies

So, apparently my commitment to keep a photo a day has officially gone by the way side.  But that's not to say that I haven't been diligently taking lots and lots of photos!  My favorite model is now very mobile, which is making it way more challenging, and the weather has been keeping us in doors mostly.... but here are some catch up shots!

I've been taking another photography class through clickinmoms.com and am finding myself very pleasantly challenged by the class.  Here's a sample of what I'm managing to do in the class.

So, now is my chance to finally put something out to the universe.  My goal is to start picking up some photography clients within the next 4 months.  Whew... okay, I've put it out there now.  So, watch out for more photos, and a transformation of me just blogging, to starting to put together a portfolio and a website...

Playing another round of catch-up

I've been faithfully taking photos for the online photography class that I was taking, but I've been a bad blogger and neglected to add them on here, so now it's time for a little game of catch-up!

 I just couldn't resist this one, even though the exposure is a little off.  Today I realized that Jamie had gone a little too quiet in the living room, and peeked in to find that she'd discovered a roll of paper towels I'd accidentally left on the floor.  She was in heaven unraveling every square inch and then ripping it apart.  This photo (I hope) simply captures her exuberance!

Day something or other....

Okay, I'm officially a very bad blogger!  But, after learning some stuff in a photography class I'm taking online at clickin mom.com, I'm now ready to post my latest photos.  These are all straight out of the camera (I'm very proud of that!).  As always, I'd love input!

Day 32 - Bubble bath!

Okay, so technically this is from last night, but I just had to put it on.  In advance, apologies for the poor quality!  The lighting in our bathroom turns all my photos very yellow, and I'm loathe to use the flash.  I am, however, determined to learn how to use my camera in order to get around this diliema next time.

Back to the bubble bath... mommy put in a little too much soap, so it was an explosion of bubbles like Jamie has never seen before.  I'm not too sure she really knew what to make of it all, we got a few smiles, but she seemed a little overwhelmed and didn't want to splash (like she usually does).

Day 31 - Photo shoot

I've had this adorable headband for a while, so today we took advantage of the sunlight, and did a little photo shoot!

Brian also picked up the camera, and took a shot of me with Jamie!  Yay!!
